What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy refers to the inhalation and topical application of pure essential oils distilled from aromatic plants to restore or enhance health, beauty, and well-being. For some this means simply diffusing oils to enhance the psyche; while for others this includes seeking deeper, therapeutic action as a means of self-healing or as a preventative method.
Are all supplies included in the cost of your aromatherapy classes?
Online students will have access to online materials but are responsible for purchasing their own supplies such as oils and bottles for completing activities at home and for case studies.
How many hours is the Massage Therapists Program and Level 1?
Level 1 is 100 hours online and the Massage Therapists Program is 50 hours.
Do Essential Oils Need to be Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade?
The terms “certified pure therapeutic grade,” or another term such as “food grade,” pharmaceutical grade,” and “medical grade” are not regulated terms in the United States by the FDA. We encourage anyone seeking to purchase oils to only obtain them from a reputable source who are capable of providing GC/MS and physical analyses. Bottles should be labeled with both the common and botanical name of the plant from which the essential oil is distilled.
Who will benefit from your Aromatherapy Certification Program?
Just about everyone could benefit from taking our courses in aromatherapy, especially those who desire to improve or maintain their health naturally. From a professional standpoint, this list includes Health Care Practitioners such as Nurses, Midwives, Chiropractors, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Physical Therapists, homemakers, Teachers, Pastors, Counselors, and Cosmetologists. Other practices such as Holistic Therapists such as Therapeutic Touch Practitioners, Massage Therapists, Reflexologists, and Reiki Practitioners would also benefit and enhance their practice.
When I take your course, will I be able to call myself a Certified Aromatherapist?
Yes, once you complete the Level 1 Aromatherapy Certification Program you can call yourself a Certified Level 1 Aromatherapist or Aromatherapy Practitioner. When taking individual courses, you may receive a certificate of completion with the designated hours for that course.
Do you offer Continuing Education Units or Credits?
We are approved for CEU’s credits through the NCBTMB.org (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork) in all 50 states. Our Aromatherapy Online courses Level 1 is 50 CEUs and Massage Therapists Course is 24 CEUs.
What is the Difference between Level 1 and Massage Therapists Program?
Level 1 is the starting point for anyone who wants to become certified as an aromatherapist. Our Online Level 1 course is 100-hours and exceeds the requirements for NAHA’s Foundations Level 1 requirements (50 hours). At level 1, you will study 20+ essential oils in depth, the botany of plants, extraction methods, blending techniques, the interaction on physical and emotional levels, history of aromatherapy, carrier oils, safety and contraindications, methods of application and absorption, business skills such as performing consultations and FDA labeling guidelines, and two body systems (limbic and lymphatic) as part of your anatomy. Our Massage Therapists Program is fewer hours with additional body systems that are relevant to bodywork. Both courses qualify as a Level 1: NAHA Certified Level 1 Aromatherapist®. What Payment Methods do you accept for your Aromatherapy Classes and products?
You may pay for your course in full online or call to make payment. When you pay through paypal, you can use MasterCard or Visa, Money Orders, debit cards, checks and/or Paypal Billpay services. If you prefer to make your payment by phone please use the contact form.
