A top note with a medium aroma, Grapefruit Pink has a fresh, slightly bitter scent that is very characteristic of the fruit.

Therapeutic Properties

The chemical components vary dramatically depending on the chemotype. Be certain of the chemical profile and chemotype of the oil you are using. The oil we are studying is linalol chemotype. If the oil contains eugenol, it may cause skin irritation in people with sensitive skin.

Safety

Grapefruit essential oil can cause skin irritation if exposed to strong sunlight after application. Besides this, there are no inherent risks to consuming this essential oil, although it should probably be avoided during pregnancy.
